Disconnect the machines, Archie – Mondo is dead

Twelve-year-old British Archie Battersbee has died after discontinuation of life support. She makes her mother known after a long legal battle. Archie passed away just over two hours after the artificial ventilation was stopped, Hollie Dance told reporters outside the hospital. “Such a beautiful baby. He fought to the end,” she said.

Archie, declared brain dead for four months and at the center of a sensational legal battle launched by his parents to keep him alive, died about two hours after life-support machines were shut down. “Archie died at 12:15 today,” Hollie Dance, the 12-year-old’s mother, told reporters. “A beautiful boy. We fought to the end,” she added.
