A Delhi court has come down heavily on Singh for failing to appear before the court in a domestic violence case filed against Punjabi singer and actor Yo Yo Honey Singh by his wife. Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh said, “No one is above the law. Surprised to see how lightly this matter is being taken.


While Singh had filed an application seeking exemption from appearance in the case on medical grounds, his wife Shalini Talwar appeared in the court. Expressing displeasure, the court told Singh’s lawyer, “Honey Singh did not appear. You have not filed his income affidavit and are not even ready for arguments.” The Metropolitan Magistrate gave Singh one last opportunity to appear in the court and asked him not to behave like this again.


Shalini Talwar has filed a domestic violence case against her husband Honey Singh and demanded Rs 20 crore as damages. Singh’s lawyer Ishan Mukherjee, filing a reply to Talwar’s plea, told the court that she has already taken all the valuables including jewelery with her and she can come to stay with her in-laws in Noida’s house in 15 days. .


“We are ready to have him with us,” Mukherjee said. We will build a wall. It can be provided to him in 15 days.


While Yo Yo Honey Singh’s wife cried in the courtroom during the hearing. Before magistrate Tania Singh, Shalini Talwar said, “I am left with no option. I gave 10 years of life. I left everything and stood by him. Now he has left me.”


The magistrate asked the petitioner, “Now what do you want from the court? What is the status of your marriage? Where is the love lost between you two?” Further, the judge said that it would be better if the matter is resolved.
