The giant American tech company Google, which has invested big money in Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio, is now talking to Bharti Airtel. This claim has been made in the report of the English newspaper The Times of India.

According to the news, the US company led by Sundar Pichai has gone to the “advance stage” of talks to invest money in Airtel. Quoting top sources with knowledge of the matter, the newspaper further said that Google can make a huge investment in Airtel.

It was told that at present, Google is working on the terms and conditions related to investment in Airtel. Both the companies’ internal and external and legal and M&A (Merger and Acquisition) teams are engaged in discussions on stakeholder sales queries. However, both the companies did not respond to queries on the same.

By the way, it is also discussed that if this deal of Google and Airtel happens, then it will be a bit of relief for Airtel and their owner Sunil Mittal, who is facing cash crunch.

There is a meeting of Airtel’s board on Sunday, in which the plan to raise funds can be considered. Significantly, the company had a debt of about Rs 1.6 lakh crore at the end of June and is unable to raise tariffs independently. Sources said that if Airtel’s deal with Google happens, then it will be a mega confidence booster for the company.

Actually, Google recently invested 34 thousand crores in Reliance Jio Platforms. Interestingly, it has now set the mood to invest in a company that gives Jio a tough competition in the telecom sector.

After Ambani brought Jio, there was a lot of panic in the financial structure of the Indian telecom sector. According to the information, the 75 percent of the telecom industry which used to come from voice, came and made it free by Jio. Along with this, internet data was also given much cheaper than other companies.
