If BJP has to be defeated in UP
Farmers have been standing on the border of Delhi for the past several months in protest against the agricultural laws brought by the central government. He says that unless the government withdraws these laws, he is not going to end the movement. The Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait also discussed in the ‘Dangal’ show of ‘Aaj Tak’ regarding the farmers’ movement. Here he also talked about BJP and Asaduddin Owaisi from UP elections. Meanwhile, the news anchor asked Rakesh Tikait which party he wanted to win in UP.
Rakesh Tikait was questioned by news anchor Chitra Tripathi, “In the rally in Muzaffarnagar, you people were vowing that the BJP has to be defeated. So which party do you want to win in UP?” Responding to this, Rakesh Tikait said, “We don’t have to win by defeating anyone. Whatever issues we have, we will go to them. Electricity rate is the most expensive in UP, there is dishonesty on crops.
Referring to the situation in UP, Rakesh Tikait further said, “In Uttar Pradesh, crops are not procured at MSP. The farmer keeps standing in the line with 40 to 50 quintals of paddy here, his number does not even come. So will the farmers not get angry? We should also be told in which market they are bought cheaply and sold to us.
Interrupting Rakesh Tikait, news anchor Chitra Tripathi said, “You were raising slogans that BJP has to be defeated. I have a simple question. Which party do you think will best solve the farmers’ issue?” Responding to this, Rakesh Tikait said, “We are not making anyone win. If people are happy, they will vote for it, if people are happy they will vote for others.
Talking about this, Rakesh Tikait further said, “Our issue is with crops. Our issue is with electricity.” Let us tell you that Rakesh Tikait had also fiercely targeted the central government in the debate show and said, “Yeh break ka kaam karte karte hain, hum jon ka kaam karte karte karte hain (Yeh break ka kaam karte karte hain, hum jon ka kaam ka karte karte hain ye hain dena ka kar karte hain, hum jone ka kaam ka karte hain ye dena ka kar karte hain, hum jone ka kaam ka karte hain ye dena ka kar karte hain, hum jone ka kaam ka karte hain ye hain dena kar ka kar karte hain, hum jone ka kar karte karte hain ye dena ka kar karte hain (Yeh breaking kaam ka kar karte hain, hum jon ka kaam kar karte hain).” Apart from this, the farmer leader had also accused the news anchor of campaigning.
