Mumbai Indians pacer Trent Boult, captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Hardik Pandya are not completely sure about the team playing in Thursday’s IPL match but he said that both are in much better condition than before. Kieron Pollard led the team after Rohit could not play against Chennai Super Kings due to knee pain and a minor injury.
Bolt said before the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), ‘They are both in very good shape. As far as playing in his next match is concerned, I can’t say anything for sure but his fitness is improving every day. Obviously both of them are important players for Mumbai and we look forward to their return to the team as soon as possible.
Bolt said this thing
Boult said that Rohit was sorely missed in the first match against Chennai but he defended the team management’s decision to rest the star opener. He said, ‘Given his experience and performance in this format, he was greatly missed but there is a lot of cricket to be played ahead and so it was the right decision to ensure his 100 percent fitness.’
