Rajkumar used to pretend to forget

Bollywood’s famous actor Rajkumar had made a tremendous identity in Hindi cinema with his films and his style. Rajkumar made his debut in Hindi cinema with the film ‘Rangili’ and after that he appeared in many films like ‘Mother India’, ‘Pakeezah’, ‘Saudagar’. In the film ‘Pakeezah’, Rajkumar played the lead role along with actress Meena Kumari. During the shooting of the film, Rajkumar lost his heart to actress Meena Kumari. He also intentionally forgot his dialogues in front of the actress.

According to the waves, Kamal Amrohi had signed Rajkumar in the film ‘Pakeezah’ because of Dharmendra. As the news of Dharmendra and Meena Kumari’s affair kept increasing, Kamal Amrohi did not want to sign them. Although Rajkumar also started liking Meena Kumari during the shooting.

In the shooting of ‘Pakija’, Rajkumar deliberately pretended to forget his dialogues after seeing Meena Kumari and during this time he used to keep looking at the actress. At the same time, when Meena Kumari’s husband Kamal Amrohi came to know about this, he became very upset. He somehow completed the shooting of the scene involving Meena Kumari and Rajkumar.

But Kamal Amrohi cut the scenes of Meena Kumari and Rajkumar in ‘Pakeezah’ so much that Rajkumar remained in the film only in name. Not only this, Kamal Amrohi was so angry with Rajkumar after this incident that he did not sign Rajkumar in any of his next films. Apart from this, due to Meena Kumari’s marriage, even the prince could not speak his heart to her.

Apart from Meena Kumari, Rajkumar also started liking actress Hema Malini. He became such a fan of the actress that he advised the director to cast Hema Malini instead of Vyjyanthimala in ‘Lal Patthar’. Although at first Hema Malini had refused to do the film, but later she agreed to the film on Rajkumar’s persuasion.
