Movies still in the mind of the audience


There are many movies based on true events person character which are still in the mind of the audience like Paan Singh Tomar, No One Killed Jessica, Dirty Picture, Talwar, Manjhi – The Mountain Man, Airlift, Raazi, Mission Mangal, Sher Shah, Haseena. Parkar, Sarabjit, Dangal, Raees, Dhoni Untold Story, Gunjan Saxena, Umraojan, Aligarh, Special 26, Madras Cafe, Chak De India, Satyagraha, Hey Ram, Sarkar, Death of a Doctor, Padman, Super 30, Gold, Bandit Queen , Guru, Black Friday, Chhapaak, Gulab Gang, Rustom, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.


Recently, while films based on true events such as Belbatam, The Big Bull, Sher Shah, Major and Saina have been released, there is also Ajay Devgan starrer Bhuj. In this, the in-charge of Vijay Karnik airport built the runway of the airport in collaboration with 300 local women during the Hindustan-Pakistan war. Ajay Devgan appeared in the role of Vijay Karnik. Bhuj Ajay Devgan wanted to release in theaters but due to complete ban, the film was released on OTT platform.


Many more such films are in the queue for release. For example, the story of Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan starrer May Day is based on the Jet Airways plane scandal that happened during the 2015 Doha and Kochi flight. The film will release in 2022. The story of Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Alia Bhatt is also based on a true story.
