Used to work hard to pay Kareena’s school fees – Randhir Kapoor said

Used to work hard to pay

In the 70s, Randhir Kapoor worked in many films and earned a name. Even after belonging to the Kapoor family, the actor struggled a lot in the film industry. After marrying actress Babita, Randhir Kapoor had two daughters – Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Actor Randhir Kapoor, while describing the condition of the film world and the actor in that era, says that the era was such that when the actors had to work very hard, then they could earn a little money.

Comparing the actors of today, Randhir Kapoor said about the pay check of the actors of that era that- I wish he could have worked like today’s actors if he had the answer. The actor also told during this time that he worked hard to raise the school and tuition fees of Kareena and Karisma.

In an interview given to Rediff, Randhir Kapoor said- ‘I wish I was young today, how much money do today’s actors earn. We have worked very hard to earn money, very hard work. To pay my children’s tuition fees, to pay the electricity bill, Babita’s expenses and my scotch, I have paid for myself. I had earned that money through films, I worked hard.

He further said- ‘Today’s stars have become very selective about films. His choice of films is different. That’s why he does fewer films. Also do advertisements and events and earn money. He does one film a year. They do this because they earn a lot from ads and events. We should do only one film, that era was not like that. If we had done this, we would not have been able to run our house with the money we got. I can’t pay my bills.

Let us tell, Randhir Kapoor worked in many films in 1970. But he did not get the success that Raj Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor did like the rest of the Kapoors of his family. In the year 1971, Randhir Kapoor liked actress Babita very much, after which both of them got married in that year. Actor Randhir Kapoor worked with actress Rekha in ‘Super Nani’ in the year 2014. Actor Sharman Joshi was also with him in this film.
